Thanks for being here.
I'll cut to the chase — let me tell you why I write.
I write because I am energized by weaving together connections I see in the world through words. I believe that the intersection of vulnerability and professionalism expressed through writing and art can lead us to a more productive and kinder world.
I currently work as a 3rd grade English Language Arts teacher at a Chicago Public School on the city's south side. In 2023, I received my master's degree in Education at University of Pennsylvania with a focus on English and Language Arts. I graduated in 2020 from University of Michigan with a degree in Organizational Studies and Writing, with a specialty in narrative non-fiction.
I have editing and writing experience as The Michigan Daily's Copy Chief and Deputy Statement Editor. I formerly worked as a Copy Desk intern at The Detroit Free Press. Today, I am focused on consulting and editing college applications and personal statements to help others tell their stories.
You can find me on Instagram and Linkedin, email me here and read my teaching portfolio here.
